It took me a little while to get everything dialed up with this one as it can be a little recalcitrant at times, but it’s almost done now.

I haven’t done any review of it yet because I want this review to go a bit deeper than the other cars I have reviewed for this really special turbo SA22C unicorn as it deserves all of it. There will be some track day video, some frozen lake-day video along with some “touge driving” done by an unnamed friend of mine of course... I have the pictures set already, but I REALLY want this review to be special and I hope I can do it as soon as possible.

My car is awesome... Really.... it is! :)

Is this one of those JDM ones with a 12A turbo?

Speaking of 12 A turbos I would love to have a Cosmo from that period.

Yes this is one, tuned by RE-Amemyia at that ;)

Hard to guesstimate how many were built, but considering that at the end of production in 1984 and 1985, Mazda only sold 1500 Rx7 per year in Japan and that the 12a turbo was only an option that cost a premium for the car, probably less than 2000 were made during those 2 years. Mine is an 1985 :)

A bit lighter and a bit more powerful than stock too. Revsto 9000 instead of the original 6500rpm red line. I never really go over 8000 though, it’s a 31 year old car after all haha

Those Cosmo are probably even harder to find now as it was considered a “normal” car and most have certainly been destroyed now.

RX7 are great for that :)

You do need an engine for it now though lol

But my left side headlight is annoying as the ring holiding the mechanism to the electric motor is not there... Need to order the part :)

i have a 5.3 ls with ls3 goodies to put in it. I plan on just putting a light bar or something on mine for lights as its a track toy car
